OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS
SPC Golden Ticket High School Contest (the “Contest”)
CONTEST PERIOD
The Contest starts on August 25th, 2025 at 12:00 am Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends on June 30th, 2026 at 11:59pm ET (the “Overall Contest Period”). By participating in the Contest, each entrant agrees to abide by and be bound by these Official Contest Rules. Entrants further agree to abide by and be bound by all decisions of the Student Price Card Ltd. (“SPC”, or the “Sponsor”), which shall be final and binding, without right of appeal, in all matters relating to this Contest and the awarding of the prize, including without limitation eligibility and/or disqualification of entries.
Limit one (1) entry per person, regardless of method of entry.
PRIZES
There are eight hundred and nine (809) prizes available to be won, each ranging from $25 - $5,000. Prizes will be awarded in a gift card or cheque form, depending on the prize.
Prize must be accepted as awarded and may not be substituted or transferred. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute a prize of greater or equivalent monetary value if a prize cannot be awarded as described for any reason. Any other costs or expenses associated with the prize not specified herein will be the responsibility of the selected winner. Prizes in the form of cheques will be delivered to verified winners only to one (1) address in Canada. Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen prizes. Cheque prize must be deposited within the applicable required time deemed acceptable by the winner’s bank (“Stale Date”). Any cheque prize that is past the Stale Date will not be substituted or replaced by Sponsor. Any other costs or expenses associated with the prizes not specified herein will be the responsibility of selected winners.
All gift card prizes will be awarded via electronic mail to the email address provided by the winner. It is at the winners sole discretion to provide a legitimate email address. If any errors are made, the prize will be forfeited.

A total of $50,000 in prizes are available to be won.
ELIGIBILITY
This Contest is open to legal residents of Canada who are over the age of 14 at the time of entry. Entrants below the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence must have their parent’s or legal guardian’s permission before entering the Contest.
Excluded from eligibility are the officers, directors, employees, assigns, agents and representatives of Sponsor, the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (“CIBC”) any Contest judges, and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies (collectively, the “Contest Parties”), and members of the immediate families (defined as parents, siblings, children and spouses, regardless of where they live) or households (whether or not related) of such officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
In order to participate, students must purchase their SPC membership from a participating High School. Students will open the membership package and activate their 16 digit SPC membership number online at spccard.ca or in the SPC app. Once the membership is activated, the platform will indicate whether they have uncovered a golden ticket. Golden tickets are given at random and must be accepted as is. Odds of winning are dependent on the amount of people participating.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY
To enter the Contest without being purchasing a membership from a participating High School, email your Full Name, Age, Street Address and Unit Number, City, Province, Postal Code, Daytime Telephone Number including Area Code, and a 300 word essay on the student benefits of banking with CIBC to [email protected] with the subject line, “Golden Ticket Contest” Limit one email-in entry per person. All email entries must be received no later than June 30, 2026 at 11:59pm EST.
WINNER SELECTION & PRIZE CLAIM CONDITIONS
A total of eight hundred and nine (809) potential winners can claim their prize throughout the contest period by registering their SPC membership. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Overall Contest Period.
In order to be declared a winner, selected entrants must:
Activate their SPC membership online or through the app. Once their activation is complete, the potential winner will simultaneously receive a pop up indicating that they have found a Golden Ticket.
The student will then be directed to reveal their prize by clicking the CTA
A prize will be randomly awarded to the student.
Prizes valued at $25 - $100 will be awarded via a link where the winner will be able to select a digital Gift Card of their choosing of the value indicated.
Prizes valued at $500 or more will be issues via a cheque. Winners of a Cheque will be required to complete and submit a digital release and declaration form and provide parental consent within 3 business days. The form includes:
Parent/Guardian Name and contact information (SPC will be contacting parent/guardian to confirm);
Skill testing question (must be correctly answered, unaided whether mechanical or otherwise. There will be only one (1) opportunity to answer the mathematical skill-testing question);
Mailing information (to receive the cheque);
And otherwise comply with these Official Rules.
By completing this form, the winner is releasing the Sponsor and the Contest Parties from any liability in connection with this Contest or the use, misuse, awarding or possession of any prize and confirms compliance with the Contest Rules (the “Release”).
Return of any prize or winner notification as undeliverable, inability to reach selected entrant or failure of selected entrant to respond to notification within three (3) business days of first attempt by Sponsor or Sponsor’s agent, failure to provide proof of eligibility (if requested), Release, or other required documentation in a timely manner, failure to correctly answer the skill-testing question, or other non-compliance with these Official Rules may result in disqualification, forfeiture of the prize and, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, selection of an alternate eligible entrant for the forfeited prize in accordance with these Official Rules, who will be subject to disqualification in the same manner. By entering, you agree that if you, as the selected entrant, are disqualified and the prize is forfeited for any reason, the Sponsor shall be fully and completely released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in this regard.
GENERAL RULES
All entries become the property of the Sponsor and none shall be returned.
All decisions regarding this Contest and the selection of the winners remain with the Sponsor and its promotional agencies and are final.
No Prize substitutions will be made, except for the right of the Sponsor to make a Prize substitution of equivalent or greater value in the event a Prize is unavailable for reasons beyond the Sponsor’s control. The Prizes must be accepted as awarded and may not be substituted or transferred, except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Any other costs or expenses associated with the Prize not specified herein will be the responsibility of the selected winner.
The Contest Parties are not responsible for printing, distribution or production errors.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND RELEASE: UNLESS PROHIBITED BY LAW BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS CONTEST, THE ENTRANTS AGREE TO RELEASE, DISCHARGE, INDEMNIFY, AND HOLD HARMLESS THE SPONSOR, CONTEST PARTIES, CIBC, FACEBOOK, X (FORMERLY TWITTER) AND INSTAGRAM, AND EACH OF THEIR RESPECTIVE DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES AND ASSIGNS FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL CLAIMS AND LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURIES, LOSSES OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND (INCLUDING DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES)TO PERSONS OR PROPERTY ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH ENTRANT’S PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST, THE OPERATION OF THIS CONTEST, OR USE/MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE. PRIZE WINNERS ASSUME ALL LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURY OR DAMAGE CAUSED, OR CLAIMED TO BE CAUSED, BY PARTICIPATION IN THIS CONTEST OR USE OR REDEMPTION OF A PRIZE. FURTHER, BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS CONTEST, ENTRANTS AGREE THAT SPONSOR, CONTEST PARTIES HAVE NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR, AND SHALL BE HELD HARMLESS BY ENTRANTS AGAINST, ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURIES, LOSSES OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND (INCLUDING DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES) TO PERSONS OR PROPERTY RESULTING FROM: A) ENTRY OR PARTICIPATION IN THIS CONTEST OR B) ANY CLAIMS BASED ON PERSONALITY OR PRIVACY RIGHTS, DEFAMATION OR PRIZE DELIVERY.
Without limiting the foregoing, Sponsor, and the Contest Parties (including CIBC) shall not be responsible for: (a) any incomplete or inaccurate information that is caused by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest, or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions in the Contest; (b) lost, interrupted, or unavailable network, server, service provider, on-line systems, telephone networks or telephone lines, or any other connections; © the theft, destruction, loss or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries; (d) illegible, misdirected or late entries; (e) any problems with, or malfunctions or failures of, telephone networks or lines, computers or computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, viruses or bugs; (f) garbled transmissions or miscommunications; (g) failure of any e-mail to be received by or from Sponsor for any reason, including but not limited to traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or combination thereof or technical incompatibility; (h) damage to a user’s computer equipment (software or hardware) occasioned by participation or downloading of materials related to this Contest; (i) printing, distribution, programming or production errors, and any other errors or malfunctions of any kind, whether human, mechanical, electronic or otherwise; or (i) technical, pictorial, typographical or editorial errors or omissions contained herein.
The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify anyone it finds violating these official Contest Rules, tampering with the entry process or with the operation of any Contest-related website. The Sponsor reserves the right to refuse an entry from a person whose eligibility is in question or who has been disqualified or is otherwise ineligible to enter. Any attempt by anyone to deliberately alter or damage any Contest related website and/or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is in violation of criminal and civil laws and the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages or other legal remedy to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Winning a prize is contingent on fulfilling all the requirements set forth herein. Mass entries, automated entries, entries submitted by third parties, and any entries or prize claims that are late, incomplete, fraudulent, illegible, unidentified or delayed will be void. All entries and prize claims are subject to verification. Proof of entry submission does not constitute proof of receipt.
Sponsor reserves the right to correct any typographical, printing, computer programming or operator errors. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these official Contest Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these official Contest Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. If any provision of the official Contest Rules is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, then the official Contest Rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein.
This Contest and the terms and conditions contained in these official Contest Rules, shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute arising hereunder shall be adjudicated solely in the applicable court in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
PRIVACY
Entrants hereby agree and consent to the collection of his/her personal information for the purposes of administrating this Contest and prize fulfillment unless the entrant has lawfully consented to the use of their personal information for other purposes listed at the time of consent, as permitted by the Personal Information Protection and Electronics Documents Act and other applicable legislation. Prize Winners’ information shall be disclosed to the Sponsor specifically the Prize Winner’s name, mailing address, telephone number and/or e-mail address, as this information is required to award a Prize in this Contest. Where applicable, this Contest is subject to all federal, provincial and municipal laws.
